Anyhow, from here on, I'll be posting at my new address. At least until my host decides to pull the plug on me there. It's still in the rough stages. But, hopefully, I can make improvements from time to time! ^_^;;

About a week ago, I responded to a comment updating a Koe De Oshigoto! fan of when the next chapter would be out. I mentioned that I had scanned the raws for chapter 26 last weekend and hoped to get to it this weekend, if it was a non-hentai weekend.

Then I got a response from Herzwerk, an editor/translator from the French scanslation group School Rumble FanTrad, who offered to do the cleaning of chapter 26. I gladly accepted his offer. So I am now awaiting for the clean raws of KDOS.

Many thanks to Herzwerk and School Rumble FanTrad for the assist. ^_^

In the meantime, it is yet another unexpected, non-hentai and work weekend (I went in the office on Saturday with kids in tow... oh joy -_-), so of course that just threw any plans I had out the window. However, I did manage to scan a special surprise (well... at least, I think it's special) of sorts; so I hope to post that later tonight or tomorrow night.

As always, we'll see how it goes.

I was in Japan for a week and all I got was... a manga!?

Well, I also got the new K-On CD Singles, but...

Sorry for the long absence. A couple of weeks ago, I was in Japan on semi-business. I got back last week, but most of my time since was used in trying to catch up to all the stuff that I missed while I was away (mostly work... *sigh*).

It was a whirlwind week. So I wasn't packed heavily and I wasn't lugging around large luggage to pack all sorts of goodies inside. I did take time to buy a few things for my kids and me. A lot of stuff I can buy (as imports) here where I live (large Japanese population) or online, so there really wasn't a whole lot that I could think of that I "just had to have." And as I said, I was there on semi-business, so most of my free time was spent enjoying the culture and eating.

Koe De Oshigoto! Chapter 24 RAW

During my trip, while in Akihabara, I did manage to eat at a maid cafe and get myself a copy of the June issue of Comic Gum. It came with a souvenir wash cloth (like the pic below).

From the June issue, I scanned myself a copy of the 24th chapter of Koe De Oshigoto! over the weekend. And since I did the scanning, I also did my usual prep work (cleaning). In a way, this was a good timing, 'coz I wanted to test out the scanning function of scanner/copier/printer I bought some months back.

It's a trip to scan manga again after a long absence! The machine I have now is nothing like the big clunker (office machine) I used to use. During the course of scanning KDOS, I think I finally settled on a MO around the 20th or 23rd file; so those of you with a keen eye might notice some differences among the files starting around there.

As far as translating goes: I hope to start translating it this weekend when I have my kids with me. (During their homework sessions!)

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get the May issue while I was in Japan. Since no one has been providing raw scans of KDOS anymore, I went ahead and placed an order for it. Hopefully, the company I ordered it from is reputable, and I receive it in a decent amount of time (2 weeks estimate).

Honorable Mention: Seinagi

¿Lee usted español?

I wanted to take time to make good on my word and mention about Seinagi.

Seinagi is a Spanish translation group whose members, Amante_Anime, Tolesan, and Kanapox, recently used my version of Koe De Oshigoto! (Chapter 10) as the basis for their Spanish version. First off, I'm always honored, humbled, and amazed when nice people take the time to ask me if they can use my version as a basis for their non-English version; so when Tolesan approached me with his request, I was happy to oblige.

So far, I've been approached by a French (adult) scanslation group, an Italian (who also do English scanslations as well!), a German (adult), and now a Spanish group. Way cool! My International, or "Scanslators Around The World" links (see menu on the right), is ever growing! ^_^ Now here's the confusing part: From what I gathered from Tolesan, Seinagi's members work independently with other groups; therefore, they have 3 separate sites: Amante_Anime, Animexis.com, and Animexis.org. Amante_Anime, however, is the one with the link to Koe De Oshigoto (as far as I know), so his link posted on my menu.

Anyhow, for those who read Spanish, please check out Tolesan and friends at Amante_Anime, Animexis.com, and Animexis.org.

Thanks JukanX and Oliver for your concern and taking the time to post. Well, Oliver. So far, it sucks! (LOL!)

For those of you too young to know about hentai and my hentai blog, close your eyes! Don't read! It'll rot your brain!

Ahem. And for those of us who are aware of hentai (and thus whose brains are beyond help, such as mine :P), it seems some mofo hacked into Thumblogger and erased a bunch o' stuff. Thumblogger has taken steps to have the files recovered, but it's obviously gonna take a while. I estimate a couple weeks at least, personally... knowing what little I know of recovering files and how they're going about doing it. And it's uncertain if all can be recovered.

Right now, Thumblogger has restored a previous archive from July (I guess, they haven't made any archives after that? :? ); and so, AFAIK, all of Thumblogger's blogs have gone back in time around June/July. I was going to post a rant about it there on my hentai blog, but I'm a bit apprehensive to do so for some reason. Thus I'm posting news about it here.

As tragic (in the world of internets) this is, I'm not too worried. Worst case scenario: I have to start from scratch... or start from June, to be exact. Having experienced numerous hacks and crashes in the past, one just picks himself up, dusts himself off, and starts all over again... and plans on doing things differently! :P

Project Updates

The editor for Chapter 2 of Koe de Oshigoto finished the editing tasks. Now I'm in the middle of QCing it.

The editor took quite a bit of liberties with the script, which is not bad (at least he stayed in context), but he left out what I consider to be key points in the dialog or conversation, which is not good (a bad habit of many a scanslator when they try to "shortcut" on things for the sake of "balloon" space).

Anyhow, when I'm done QCing, I will either send it back to him so he can re-edit, or I will re-edit it myself before sending it back to him.

As for chapter 3, I'm in the middle of translating and editing that one myself. With any luck both chapters will be released at the same time!

If you're familiar with the ratings system for movies here in the United States, Koe de Oshigoto would be rated R: No one under 16 admitted without an accompanying adult. The subject is adult material: After all, in part, it deals with the hentai PC game industry in Japan. Although there are no graphic scenes of sex, there is graphic, foul language (albeit, censored) and sexual situations, usually imagined by protagonist, that you can find in almost any R-rated movie.
  

New Project: Koe de Oshigoto!

Thanks to Prim and his friends, Walker and ish, I have the raw scans (and very good scans, too, at first glance, if I may say!) of the first 4 chapters of this new Konno Azure serial, "Koe de Oshigoto" (Works with the voice). Prim is hoping I would have it as a project of mine, of course... and I told him I'd probably post a rant about it this weekend... So I'm a bit early... Surprise! Also, thanks to Prim, you can find out more about the serial here. Manga Updates also has a listing here .

It seems fun and interesting enough that I wouldn't mind the undertaking it for free . But with the other projects I have lined up, it may be a few weeks or so before I could tackle both translating and editing it solo. Hence, my call out to any available editors out there.

If you're an available editor, or have some editing experience, or just someone who's damn good at Photoshop, and have an earnest interest in this project, email me. Send me a link (or links) of some of the previous work you've done. If you haven't done any editing, but have Photoshop and an earnest interest to learn... ... ...I may have to put together a test or something... or you can {ahem} "borrow" {*hint*} one from another group (LOL!)... or better still, take some tips from DontHurt! Anyhow, to reiterate, email me if your interested in editing this manga/series. Thanks!

New Project: Inukami, Volume 4

Hope y'all had a Happy 4th!

This is a joint project with Miyuna, an editor who does or has done work for Dynasty Scans and other groups. Miyuna is editing, I'm translating.

This project came about in a somewhat unusual way. Miyuna, aka chiharu-chan, had done me the honors of posting my translated chapters of Muv-Luv Unlimited to MangaFox, which is now my main web-gallery for the non-hentai fare. I was so touched by her actions (after all, I was able to discover MangaFox thanks to her!), that when she asked if I would consider translating volume 4, I couldn't say no.

I was apprehensive about working on the scripts, since Inukami is licensed in the US already; I really don't want to be sued over anything. Also, in the past, I was never keen on translating for other people, primarily 'coz I'm still learning; so I'm not that fast and my confidence level still isn't that high. Besides that, I've never written out a script for others, so I wasn't too sure how to approach it. But, I thought, well I'm only writing the script and not seeking monetary gain for this... what the heck! And after hammering out three chapters at about 5 to 10 pages a day, all my concerns seemed moot. Writing a script for Miyuna was definitely an interesting challenge and a new learning experience for me; now that I have a certain approach to writing out scripts, I may be able to expand and translate for other editors! Hopefully, I won't confuse her too much!

Since I'm not doing the editing, I was actually able to have the scripts for chapter 16 to 18 ready rather quick. A lot quicker than I initially thought, in fact! I'm not sure when Miyuna will start editing, but I'm sure when she has some spare time, she'll get on it! Hope you look forward to it!

... but thanks to a couple of Anonymous posts, I took notice of CityManga!

CityManga is a free manga download site that features a bunch of translated mangas, including some of the stuff I released... Kinda like a cross between MangaUpdates and Stop Tazmo , except CityManga also caters (WARNING!) hentai stuff. There are numerous other sites that also have downloads of my scanslations, but thus far, CityManga has no visible ads glaring at you. (They are associated with adecn.com, so I guess they are counting clicks.) And as far I can tell, they host all the downloads onsite; no Rapidshare, MediaFire, Badongo, MegaUpload, etc., which is mighty cool of them, IMHO!

Now if only the person(s) responsible for CityManga would host the rest of my scanslations, I'd be more than happy to forward all my direct download links to them! (If that's you Anonymous, please let yourself be known! Email me or PM me or something! And please don't forget to list my blog on my Group Profile!) After all, it seems like a win-win situation to me: They host my files for manga fans to download, I provide links to their site... Kinda like how my web-galleries are provided by MangaFox!

New File Share Host

Because Rapidshare deleted ALL my Muv-Luv files, Rapidshare is no more. One theory I have regarding this is that Rapidshare is punishing me for not signing up for a Premium Membership. :/

In any case, I'm slowly moving manga files to MediaFire and updating my blog(s). Instead of updating each individual link, I'm ridding all of the links leading to Rapidshare, so now I have a just one link on the menu to my Manga Folder. Unfortunately, I only have Momoya Show-Neko's "Summer Vacation" uploaded, but I hope to have the other files uploaded this weekend. Hopefully, in the long run, MediaFire will be much kinder host than Rapidshare. ^_^;;

I had plans on using Badongo as well just as a mirror, but I decided to hold off and see how things go with MediaFire.

Other Personal News: Yesterday, I installed a new router. My old router died after, unbeknownst to me, suffering a slow death. All this time, I thought my internet was just slow or quirky, but in retrospect, it seems my router was just gasping to hang on as long as possible! No wonder I was having so much trouble uploading and downloading files! Now that I have a new router installed, things are getting back to normal, and I can concentrate on getting Chapter 9 (hopefully 10... we'll see...) of Muv-Luv Unlimited done.

Project Updates and More

Blocked by Rapidshare!: Thanks to Kalimutan for giving me heads up on this. Like the pic says, Rapidshare is cracking down on illegal content. Hopefully, they'll eventually leave my stuff alone, but this does mean I need to speed up plans in uploading to other sites, like MediaFire, MegaUpload, Badongo, and such. All torrents are still working and there are many seeders (including myself) still available. So if you missed out on Rapidshare, please try the torrent... otherwise, it'll be a wait before I can upload to other sites. :(

Muv-Luv Unlimited Volume 2: I'm currently still in the middle of translating/editing chapter 9 (and 10)... the first chapter(s) in MLU volume 2. I've been busy tending to other projects, not to mention the occasional sidetracks like being lazy and life's unexpectancies in general, but I hope to be able to complete it by next week. Many thanks for your patience! ^_^;;

Delayed Response: Hey Sabin, sorry for the late response. :( I found out about ImageVenue when I Googled for image hosts back when my problem with HideBehind occurred. I started using it more so on the recommendations of another fellow. I appreciate the additional recommendation, 'tho! :) ImageVenue looks pretty stable!

Manga Fox

I found a suitable manga fan site/image host!

As I said on my last post, I was looking for a new image host, preferably one that has a web gallery. The web gallery thing is just to give manga fans another method of viewing my scanlations, versus downloading files. When I was, again, checking out my blog stat's, someone's web search for Muv-Luv Unlimited lead me to Manga Fox.

Manga Fox is a non-hentai, on-line viewer of many available scanlated mangas out there, including my scanlation of Muv-Luv Unlimited! (In fact, my personal thanks to chiharu-chan for taking the time to post my scanlation on Manga Fox! I am very grateful!). I hope to have my blog posts updated to include the links to each Muv-Luv Unlimited chapter, but in the meantime, those interested can view it online by clicking here.

Searching For An Image Host...

The guys behind Hidebehind.com decided to go all commercial and now charge for hosting images. I don't blame 'em for wanting to make a buck, but it did put me in an awkward spot: Hidebehind replaced my images with a PRON gif, so even this blog started showing scenes of PRON! The result: All my links to Hidebehind are now gone. Before all this happened, I really liked Hidebehind since I could upload hentai and non-hentai stuff and tag them appropriately. But now......

I have the hentai stuff somewhat resolved, but I still have to contend with my non-hentai stuff. Right now, all my posts for Muv-Luv Unlimited are left "image-less"! I've been trying out different hosts, including a couple who seem to have died after just a couple of days of signing up! I'll probably resort to Blogspot for some of the images for now, but it would be nice to have a more stable, non-hentai host where I can post a whole gallery.

Anyhow, I hope some of you have some good suggestions for some good, non-hentai image hosts. Thanks in advance for those who do!

Update and a Wallpaper from Memory Lane

I'm in the middle of finishing up the last two chapters of Muv-Luv Unlimited - Volume 1. I still have a ways to go (I'm not even half-way through the first chapter!); but hopefully, if all goes well, I'll be done with it this weekend. :S In the meantime, I wanted to post something especially for this blog, just so it wouldn't be so neglected.

Every now and then I check the stats on my blogs and find out the different sites that referred people to my blogs. Some of those referrers are search engines people use to find me, like Google, Yahoo, etc. Well, in checking out what people were searching about me, I came across an old wallpaper I did some years back. I posted it to a website, which I later found was no longer hosting wallpapers. In fact, I'm not too sure if the site is active. In any event, my wallpaper was still there. It was this one.


It's a redux from the cover of "Ichigo 100%," featuring my favorite babe of that series, Aya Toujo. Of course, the manga cover was proportionally thinner than a monitor screen, so I had to actually draw, clone, copy & paste, and color in things that were missing... like her knees, extra bed ruffles, shadows, etc. And this was all done with Photoshop 5.0 and a mouse!! (No, I did not have a pen-tab back then.)

Here's my initial version, without the grey coloring of the bedsheet. For the final version above, I greyed out the sheets to tone down the brightness.


Although it was difficult to manipulate Photoshop tools with just a mouse (and the tools weren't as "refined" as they are now in Photoshop CS), I recall having a lot of fun working on this. It's Toujo after all! XD

Now that I look at it, though, maybe one of these days I'll remove Manaka from the picture! XD

Project Update: I be illin'

...seriously. I have the flu. And possibly strep. I'll know more when I see the doctor later today. Although this one isn't as bad as the last (at least I can hold food in my stomach), it's still no fun (my body aches all over)! I think I may have made things worse by putting in a full day's work yesterday, when I only meant to put in half a day! Nuts. (Yes, I am!)

Anyhow, I'm posting this to respond to some of the many kind people visiting my blogs who left a message... and at the same time, udate y'all on projects and stuff.

To acroray: (Any relation to acronim?... just kidding.) Glad you like MuvLuv. I actually started translating Unlimited not so much on its popularity versus it looked like a fun one to do. (That's how I pick almost all my projects.) The artwork is great, the scenario was interesting, and the scan was extremely good. I actually found out about Solaris-SVU translation of MuvLuv Extra right after I posted the first chapter of Unlimited. I didn't know about neechin.net , 'tho; pretty cool for those who are trying to play the game. Thanks for visiting my blogs, for your kind words, and for reading MuvLuv Unlimited!

The next chapter of MuvLuv Unlimited should be out before the end of the month... health permitting.

I think that's it for me. The medicine I'm taking is really starting to take effect. Ciao for nao!

Project Update and Apple Dainty

As you may know, I'm busy this holiday season. So busy that I've been working like a dog at 6 and 7 days a week. Not my ideal holiday situation... in fact, it's about the worst! (I haven't done my shopping yet!) Although I'm actually in the midst of working on a couple of other projects, I did start on the next chapter of Muv-Luv Unlimited. Hopefully, I'll have it done before the end of the month/year. ^_^;;

That aside, I'd like to give an honorable mention to Apple Dainty.

Apple Dainty is a site run by is a ambitious, young college student/artist/web-artist/web-master/craftsman, who happens to be my niece. She's got a new nick, Dainty, and she's got a new website, too. She has long drawn fantasy/manga-style art (sorry fellas, no hentai stuff here) and has already self-published a couple of editions; plus nowadays, she's also into creating hand-made jewelry. Her website hosts her crafts (she has a nice little shop ) and her web-comic. Plus, whenever possible, she hits the manga/anime conventions with her art and wares. Anyhow, please check it out! And if something strikes your fancy and you have disposable income to spare, please support my favorite struggling artist! XD

So Sexy Scans

I recently joined yet another (*sigh*) forum. I had to in order to download their scanslations. Nonetheless, it was worth it 'coz they are actually translating a manga I've been interested in.

While doing Google and BakaManga searches, I came upon So Sexy Scans. Despite the name, they apparently don't do hentai stuff. However, they are translating the manga version of "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya", which is awesome of them to do! So far they've done up to chapter 5 of volume 1 of the manga. I have yet to read all of what they have so far, but at this point, I'll take what they got!

Anyhow, as fan of the show, and since So Sexy Scans is nice enough to have direct download or file share links for the chapters, I thought I'd give 'em a little write up and tell y'all 'bout 'em. I'm already looking for to more chapters!

New Projects Lined Up (Yay!)

For months, I've been trying to decide on some non-hentai projects to work on solo. I finally came up with three.


My first project will be Muv-Luv Unlimited by Âge and Tomo Hirokawa. This is a 4-volume sequel or spin-off of Muv-Luv. I'm concurrently working on this along with a couple of hentai projects. I'm so stoked (or prodded? ) to work on this one, that I already cleaned up the book jacket ahead of time! (See image)

I also look forward working on Nocturne by Shinsuke Kurihashi. I only have volume 1, so far; I have to see if I can find or purchase the other volumes from somewhere.

My third project of consideration is Cupid by Taku Kitazaki.

Although these are considered "general comics", all three do contain some nudity. If there were ratings to be given out, Muv-Luv and Nocturne would probably be PG-13; and Cupid would be R, due to mature content.
